FBC_Cody_FlairIt seems so much has happened since the last issue of Flairbar.com. Ups, downs and many travels… some good and some not so good.

It makes you realize how precious life and the time we have here really is… I have always tired to live by the motto “No regrets”, “You only live once”. Because you never know when it might come to an unexpected and abrupt stop. We seem to all come together when we have to… want to… help out a friend of our ever growing Flair family.

FBC_Cinco_demayoA close friend of mine, someone allot of people in the Industry knew here in South Florida and someone who partied her ass off in Bartenders Bash this year… Lily Romas passed away recently very unexpected. She will be missed but her family will know how many lives her soul touched. We all have loved ones who pass away and it is times like this that make you appreciate life and to not take it for granted…

Something else not to take for granted is the act of kindness of coming together as a Flair family when the need arises, we did it two years ago and it was time again. Read more in our Flairbar.com article with “Stepping up to the challenge again”. Dakota’s Challenge II to help out a son of one of our fellow Flair bartenders in need. Check it out on our ‘Articles’ page. Giving a part of yourself to help, always give me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. :-)

FBC_SKYY_bottleSpeaking of giving, During Dakota’s Challenge II we auctioned off the cover of this months issue Flairbar.com to the highest bidder. The person who reached in there pockets the deepest as Chico was auctioning it off was Mr. Matt Maze. Check out “A Flair Bartender With Heart” featuring Matt Maze all on our ‘Interviews’ page. Get to know more about someone else who gave a little bit to make a big difference.

Next we are “giving” you some more tricks in your Flair arsenal on our ‘Masterclass’ page where Micah Dew is teaching a two tin and bottle Working Flair sequence. A fun routine from a fun guy. Check it out!

FBC_DDeese_pimpThen you can check out what has been going on with the Flair competition scene in Canada as Mike McLean checks in with the third annual Superflair competition at the Beach Nightclub. All on our ‘Comp Reviews’ page. Written while he was in the Ukraine. How many frequent flier miles do you have now anyway? ;-)

Speaking of racking up the frequent flier miles… next we have the TGI Fridays World Bartender Championship between there stores worldwide. Their top Flair Bartenders worldwide we all flew in to find out who was the best of the best TGI Fridays Flair bartender. All on our ‘And Finally’ page. Congratulations to Tony Adams from the UK for a great and entertaining performance.

Then we head over to Paris, France with Laurent Greco from Bar Academy Paris as he shares with us his “Wild Wine Wonders” on our ‘Flavors’ page. Wine and Mixology… very nice!

Kevin Bednarz is back again with one of our newest additions, “Flairmation” which we revisit “Last Call Larry” dealing with making frozen drinks behind the bar. All on our “Flairmation” page. Yeah, this is so true with so many american bartenders…

FBC_KalahariWe are pleased to announce that the “Glossary” is back! It took some work but we blew off the dust and changed the batteries and it is up and running at full power. Be sure to keep an eye on it as we will continue to keep adding to this on going database of Flair bartending knowledge.
Next we have a new ‘Reader Contest’ for our loyal Flairbar.com readers. Plus our regular features, more ‘Barware’, more pages, and more Flair than you can shake a Flairco Floating Tin at.

So take some time out and enjoy a cocktail with SKYY Vodka, Finest Call, Midori or X-Rated Fusion Liqueur as you enjoy this months issue of Flairbar.com and say “Thank You” to this sponsors who keep our sport alive.
