Flairco_Spillstop_BarWarsWhat a wild ride it has been since last time! Las Vegas this year was a blast. It was allot of work but an equal amount of partying as well.

We first started off with the Legends of Bartending 9 meet and greet where we got see old friends and familiar faces. The FBA awards ceremony went well and each year rises to heights thanks to Jim Allison, Ken Hall and all of the active FBA members.

With an open Skyy Vodka and Finest Call Premium Mixes bar it was a pleasure to buy John Niekrash, Tim Black and Bill Hinkebein a drink… ;-)

IbarAfterwards we went to the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino’s “Village Bar” to witness some crazy Flair from James Hadhazy and crew. Then off to the “I-Bar” where Steve Dorsey whipped up some special cocktails that I am still raving about! Then it was off to the world famous (or at least to Mark Schultz and Eric Holbert) “Double Down” where we had the pleasure of drinking Pabst Blue Ribbon from a can and the now infamous “Bacon Martini”. Then it was off to “The Red Room Saloon” for some great appetizers and refreshing drinks. Thanks Rick and Mike!

Then the next day was dedicated to the Nightclub and Bar Show where John Buckley and myself had a BarWars L.L.C. booth set up that we were sampling specialty drinks from our Mixology menu with Flair. Then it was straight back to the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino at club “3121″ for the Legends 9 finals. One of the biggest competitions of the year from the FBA Pro Tour. You can read the full review on our ‘Comp Reviews’ page.

Mark_Rob_JohnOne of the biggest names at Legends 9 this year was Danilo Oribe from Uruguay. He had some amazing Flair and had only one drop the whole weekend! You can learn more about this precise playful person on our ‘Interviews’ page. No translation needed!

After Legends it was time to hit the casino and pick up our girlfriends. The next day we went back to the Nightclub and Bar Show where Brian Loukmas won a brand new Apple video Ipod compliments of BarWars L.L.C. for turning in the best pour test time using Skyy Vodka and 180 Energy products. No wonder you are always an accuracy judge?

Brenda_BrianThen it was off to Harrah’s “Carnaval Court” for some insane Flair and strong drinks. There we met up with Mindaugas Gradeckas where he taught us the secret to balancing pyramids. A trick he first brought to the Flair world at Quest 2000 and now he shares his secret with us. All on our ‘Masterclass’ page. Hey… Hey!

Speaking of strong drinks next we move to part 2 of “Mixology on the Move” where we continue on this flavorful topic. Check it out on our ‘Articles’ page. What drinks will you be remembered for?

For all of you other mixologists out there… Don’t forget to look back over the last year of our content collector called ‘Cocktails’. This is where you can share your own Skyy vodka and Finest Call cocktail recipes with the rest of the world and get credit for it. Have a great drink you invented? Want to share it with the rest of the world? Think it is worthy? Prove it!

LoukmasFrom mixology to one of Flairbar.com’s resident mixologist Laurent Greco from Bar Academy Paris. We indulge on some “Vibrant Vodka Cocktails “ on our ‘Flavors’ page that will be sure to liven your taste buds.

After “Carnaval Court” we made our way to may of Las Vegas’s hot spots and had a great time at “Voodoo Lounge” again at the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino. Thanks again Tony and Peter.. and no trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a trip to “Fatburger”. Thanks John and Allisyn… maybe next time Nikki and I will remember it! ;-)

Bartenderphd_BarWarsSpeaking of drinking way too much… next we move on to Kevin Bednarz with one of our newest additions, “Flairmation” which we revisit “Last Call Larry” enjoying St. Patrick’s Day. All on our “Flairmation” page. Some day I want to grow up just like Larry…lol.

From having fun at a bar to just plain having fun… For those of you lucky enough to check out Flairbar.com on April 1st 2007 you might had noticed something a little strange. We had some headlines on our cover like… “Tom Cruise to judge Bartenders Bash 2007!” and “Toby Ellis reinstated as FBA President!”. It was all a BIG April Fools Day joke and it was funny. Something we have been planning for a while and it was great to finally see happen. For those of you that missed it you can check it out on our ‘And Finally’ page. I know payback is a bitch…
Extreme_BpWe have a new ‘Reader Contest’ involving Finest Call Premium Mixes and you plus our regular features, more ‘Barware’, more pages, and more Flair than you can shake Toby Ellis at.
