Speed Rules BSD2024

Speed Competition Rules

The Speed Contest will test a Bartender’s skills in speed, recipe knowledge, bartending technique and cleanliness. The bartender will free pour or use a jigger from the correct bottles and make the correct cocktails using the correct techniques to the recipe specifications.

BarWarsLLC_comp1

Bartenders can rearrange the items on the front bar any way they want as long as the items starts/finishes on the front bar and bartenders can rearrange the items on the back bar anyway they want as long as they start on the back bar.

Items on the front bar have to start/finish on the front bar. Items from the back bar have to start on the  back bar and can finish anywhere

No pre-icing tins or glassware.

Glassware and tins starts face down.

Bartenders will start with their hands on the timer and time will start when they lift their hands and begin their round. Bartenders will then complete the round as accurately and quickly as possible without spilling.

You can make the cocktails in any order.

Only 1 bottle of each brand is allowed for the round.

Sodas will be in cans unless specified differently.

Once you complete all of the designated cocktails using the correct recipes and procedures, you will then stop the same timer you started with both hands to end your base time.

Each cocktail needs to be served on its own bevnap.

The Speed judge will then take your base time and add up all of the deductions to get your actual time. Your actual time will determine your score for this contest with the fastest times winning.
