Time For a Few More Parties and Big Tips before the Sizzle Starts
Every time I think we can’t possibly match the quality and edge of the last issue, the Flairbar.com Staff lets me have it once again. We are really getting into our flow of producing this magazine each month and continue to add more exciting content to bring you, our readers, the best of the world of Flair.
For the month of May, we bring you a culturally diverse mix from Japan to Jamaica, Italy to France, and California to Argentina.
All the way from the Eastern hemisphere, we spoke with Hiro Iwamoto, the Mr. Nice of Flair. This man’s love of the sport takes him across oceans and language barriers. Hiro doesn’t even Bartend and still continues to promote the sport better than most and strives for more originality.
See what everyone is talking about, The Superman Pour, created by King of the Ring Tandem Champions, Steve Pacheco and “Flippy” Morris on the Articles page. Getting that pour on film was quite a challenge. Thank you so much to all who contributed to make it possible. Thanks also, Steve and “Flippy,” Flair Devils and acrobats extraordinare, for your time and effort and candor in, Tandem Team Talk.
What would an issue of Flairbar.com be without a mention of a Delpech? See the review where Rodrigo and Adriano Marcellino duke it out for the Flair God title, snatched by a point, in the Comp Review. Grace to the Gods, Christian Olden, Juan Llorente, and Francesco Leoni.
Leoni graces us twice and teaches this month’s Masterclass with a bottle and tin routine as sweet as he is. Salute Team Italia!
Available now on the world wide web is the launch of the FBA’s new website featuring all of Flairbar.com’s past Competition Reviews. See what the Best of the Best were doing months ago in our classic editions or catch up on what we said about one of your past performances. Pictured right are this year’s cover stars.
“Stirring Things Up” is, love him or hate him, France’s Nicolas St. Jean on the Barware page. You won’t believe your eyes when you see the video clip, courtesy of Nicolas Antivero at the Flair Devils’ King of the Ring competition. St. Jean’s originality continues to influence the competition circuit around the world. Nice job.
May is a time for Magic and Flairbar.com Reviews, “Practical Bar Magic,” from Flairco and Dean Serneels. Widen your horizons, not to mention your pocket books, with these tricks and illusions guaranteed to amaze your guests and add to your creativity and showmanship repertoire.
Magic indeed, I must give a Shout-Out to Jamaican-born author and mystic, Ann-Marie Goldstein, who contributes to this month’s edition. Now a Las Vegas local, Annie has been a teacher and friend of mine for years. We are lucky to have her contribution of a Flair style Astrological Horoscope called “Flair-strology.” Click on the And Finally page, for your personal May forecast. For a more intimate look at your life, love, and Flair-career email Annie. You’ll be amazed at the details and accuracy of her readings. Her latest book, BUSTED!, is available for purchase, for an insight into the real lives of the people behind the glamorous lights and a survival guide for the players of fabulous Las Vegas, Flair Capital of the World. Check it out–what do you have to lose?
All right, kiddies, be good at Bartenders Bash, Islamorada. Don’t do anything we wouldn’t do… Be sure to check back next month for our sexiest issue ever, The Femme Fatales of Flair, hotter than the Vegas desert. Bring the ladies!
