Great article, I believe every bar manager in the world should read this! How many times do you see the show "Bar Rescue" and a professional mixologist comes in to train so called "bartenders" on how to build a proper drink with speed and accuracy. Speed, Accuracy, and Consistency go hand in hand with repeat business! Time and time again I watch this show and bar owners are like "Well we used to have a lot of volume but then business died." You WILL NOT get repeat business if all you are doing is pumping out substandard cocktails that are inconsistent. The average consumer is far more sophisticated these days for that business model to work any longer. And YES, it IS possible to pair accuracy and consistency with speed as long as you have perpetual staff training. Bartending is a terrific paying job, bartenders should be held to a very high standard.
